If you want to see material you enjoy on Reddit, simply log in and the system will know what you want.

Not quite. You also have to go to your recommended page. The front page is the same for everybody (aside from the fact that you can have it not show things you've already voted on).

Even better, use the recommended page on my.reddit.com, and it will aggregate all the recommendations from all the subreddits you enable in your preferences.

Reddit has less ads because it is less successful than Digg in gaining a piece of the pie. How about addressing that? I don't think Reddit has less ads due to morality, more due to lack of interest.

They do, however, have a better system in place to ward off spammers as I have unsuccessfully tried to get our interns to add all of our blog posts to Reddit. The time frame between each allowed post is astronomical.

Seems we are the fanboys and there's no way to reach an agreement. But of course I'm gonna add my comments anyway haha :D

1. I agree Reddit is clean but still looks like a damn Web 1.0 service. I don't mind number of ad units unless there are noninvasive. You compared Google to Yahoo, you see personally I do prefer fully AJAX powered Searchmash

2. EOT, we do have different needs and expectations.

3. The same - EOT.

4. Yes Digg does the same thing BUT thanks to the big amount of users there are different groups of interests, so the ball is rolling (as opposed to Reddit)

5. Did you claim that if I sign-in, a part of Reddit community will start to vote after my interests? No, you said "Reddit will learn what you like and present it to you" which means I still do receive a cesspit, right?
