US Deploying Third Carrier Group To Persian Gulf

Ukranian anti-censorship Web site LIEH3OP (censor.net.ua) is reporting that a third U.S. Carrier, the nuclear-powered USS Enterprise Strike Group, is currently en route to the Persian Gulf where it will join the USS Nimitz and USS Stennis already stationed there. The USS Enterprise CVN 65-Big E Strike Group is the largest aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy, and its addition to the Persian Gulf will mark the largest buildup of U.S. forces against Iran ever — including more aircraft carriers than during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

In addition, LIEH3OP adds that during his Middle Eastern tour in May, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney made assurances to Gulf and other Middle Eastern nations that the U.S. would eventually have four carriers in the region to protect serve its interests:

Washington is considering deploying the fourth US carrier for the region in the Red Sea opposite Saudi Arabian western coast to secure the three US carriers in the Gulf from the rear as well as the Gulf of Aqaba and Suez Canal.

My question for all of this is, where on Earth is the Western media? When the U.S. sent in the second carrier a little while back it was all over the news for debate and discussion. Now they’re sending a THIRD carrier and it is floating along under the radar. This is just absurd to me. The censorship and secrecy with which this government operates is appalling to the point where it makes me ashamed to be an American. The Bush administration is ruining our country and everyone is just sitting around letting it happen. Why deploy one of the largest — if not THE largest — naval forces to the Persian Gulf if you’re not making preparations for a war. Actually, in my mind there is no doubt that Bush and Cheney will start a war with Iran. All that remains is for some Iranian “smoking-gun” to be created by the U.S. government and then the bombs will start falling around Tehran. My only prayer is that the madmen in Washington don’t drop anything nuclear, because the backlash against the U.S. will be harsh, violent, long lasting, and worldwide in scope.

War is not the answer to the world’s problems. Human beings have been fighting each other for thousands of years, and what has come of it as a result? More wars. Perhaps it’s time to give peace a whirl; I’m down for that. Anybody else?

  1. Only way we are gonna have peace is if we have a worldwide revolution and overthrow the current system. Now i’m totally down with that.

  2. Great post. What does it take to get mainstream media to do its job?

    Confirmation site?

Whether now or later, Bush won’t go out with a loss.

He’ll ‘double up’ on Iraq and take the True Believers in DC to heaven.

And everyone else along with them.

So…where’s your primary source on this? A Ukranian website? Does this Ukranian website have special aircraft-carrier-detecting sonar?

I hope you are the only one.

  3. Maybe the tricky Ukranians found the ship’s website OR looked in the local papers http://www.meridianstar.com/local/local_story_173003817.html about “bombing accuracy” while training on the Enterprise or paid attention to Military.com. Everybody else is talking about ANOTHER murdered mother-to-be.

    Good one, karl!

The mainstream media is not going to do its job. The 5 corporations that control 90%+ of the media are nothing but lapdogs who depend on government contracts, corporate welfare, and favorable legislation. They are less than useless, merely propaganda machines.

Bombing Iran’s nuclear sites would create a biohazard that would affect millions of people in dozens of countries. Therefore I think it’s very likely that this administration will do exactly that. They gain power by destroying national sovereignty and creating chaos, war, and death.

    Confirmation, sort of:
    http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=24531

It was there, but it began moving to the “Western Pacific” on June 6th. And that’s what really bugs me about this story – I remember seeing a story about 3 US carriers in the Gulf region on the nightly national news (NBC) around the end of May. The news was reported by the Western media.

It’s three weeks later, the Ukranians are just finding out about it, and now we’ve got to cover it again?

    The media? Do its job?

Barton Gellman, of the Washington Post, formerly the paper’s Jerusalem Bureau Chief, just wrote a piece with the title, ‘A Different Understanding with The President, and which includes a monologue of Cheney’s actions on 9/11 but makes no mention of the fact that Cheney was running NORAD that morning, and that the ’simulation’ of planes striking the WTC towers was part of the ’simulation’. And he makes no mention of Cheney’s STAND DOWN order which kept the Pentagon’s surface-to-air defenses from being used and which allowed the missile to strike the Pentagon.

Gellman’s report makes it seem like he’s privy to details of what goes on in the so-called ‘government’ yet he deliberately is reframing Cheney’s behavior on that day to make it seem like Cheney was just one more witness to the day’s staged events.

Don’t count on the media. They have all been bought and paid for. If you read the establishment’s media they will try to blind you with perfume-laced bullshit.

Umm, the Enterprise is in Norfolk and is deploying to the Gulf in a few weeks. It is relieving one of the carriers in the region, so yes, there will be three carriers in the region….for a whole week. Oh, and if are wondering how I know this? My brother is stationed on one of the guided missle cruisers that is part of the Enterprise carrier group and he told me.

The USS Enterprise CVN 65-Big E Strike Group is the largest aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy………….Wrong…Now why would anyone pay any attention to a publication that cant even get the most basic and obvious fact correct? The USS Nimitz and USS Stennis are both larger than the USS Enterprise, the largest US carrier is the USS Roosevelt.

You people are nuts. You are going to force the US to withdraw from Iraq, the radical islamists will then “purge” the moderates. The result is then radical islam controling the entire swath across the middle east from India to Israel, with a nuclear Iran running the show.

You think they will then just sit back and enjoy their oil royalties or do you thing they will over-run Kuwait again and attack Israel and other western interests.

They do not want to be left alone they want to conquer the world. They want to KILL everything that goes against their religion. They tell you that every friggin day!!

Okay so the best way to shut these guys up would be maybe keep the Big E home and not relieve the Stennis. I guess us spouses don’t want our husbands who left January 16th home. Then again the media would just bash Bush for leaving our sailors out too long if that happened. Well the Stennis is scheduled for a 7 1/2 month deployment so it will be over soon. YAAAYYY

So we tried it the conventional way and we lost our will because of a few thousand dead marines in 4 years. These people won’t stop coming until they are DEAD. Time to let the air force in. Where is our modern Patton or Sherman. There should be some slash and burn going on…

When are the amer. people going to wake up? Pres. Bush has every intention of starting another conflict. The congress should take away his pres. powers to do so. This man is indictive because he cannot get his way with the congress or the senate.

The United Nations talks but takes no action while the USA pays the annual dues for all up and coming nations. In the end it will be England, Australia, Canada and us against all combatants.

Close the U.N. and take out Iran with nuclear weapons as a warning to Russia not to meddle in satelite nations around Russia. If we are a super-power then we should not let Iran threaten our east and west coasts, plus tiny Israel.

Start the draft and give the National Guard personnel who have had several tours an opportunity to live with their young families.

We need to return to the Lord and trust in Him for our eternal security as well as our national security and freedoms.

Christians need to witness to Jesus power to transform lives of those who ignore His reality and free gift of everlasting life.
