It's just a mess. No one in power today can really be blamed for it, the roots of what's happening now date back many decades. What people nowadays can be blamed for though are poor leadership skills, and I think most people would agree with me when I say that thus far in this decade we've had below average leadership from both Republicans AND Democrats.
